Accounts and Office Administrator

EM Agriton are looking for a capable and motivated office assistant to join our small team to cover maternity on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days) from now until end of Feb 2026 with continued part time hours to follow.

The role will require prior bookkeeping experience, knowledge of stock management, order processing, and experience of import/export would be preferable. The successful candidate needs to be a self-starter, and able to prioritise and manage their own workload. Strong customer service both written and verbal are also beneficial.

EM Agriton supplies distributors, and online customers, (Agriton.co.uk). Agro-Vital supplies wholesale distributors, and Budlake Nursery supplies both online customers (Acers Online) and wholesale customers.

Candidates with an AAT qualification, good knowledge of bookkeeping and previous proven experience working with Sage 50 will have preference.

Duties will include.

  • Answering phone calls
  • Ability to process - sales order to invoice, and purchase order to invoice on Sage 50, as well as general bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, intercompany postings and keeping the bookkeeping tidy for VAT Returns.
  • Booking transport for collections for both dispatch and collection in Europe.
  • Monitoring and replying to emails, dealing with customer enquiries.
  • General office filing, admin
  • Liaising with the warehouse manager and placing orders with suppliers
  • Assisting office manager

Hours - initially

  • Monday to Friday - we can be fairly flexible with the days worked, Monday will be necessary, the remaining 2-3 days can be in full or split over the week to suit.

Work location, office based.

Parking available on site.

Salary £25k- £30k pro rata, depending on experience.
