About Education Boutique
Education Boutique is a leading provider of bespoke tuition and alternative provision, supporting learners with a wide range of additional needs. We specialise in delivering tailored, trauma-informed education to students who may not thrive in traditional classroom settings. Our tutors are experts in their fields and bring compassion, creativity, and flexibility to every learning journey.
About the learner
The learner is a young child with significant and complex needs across communication, learning, social-emotional development, and sensory processing. They are mostly pre-verbal, using gestures and single words to communicate, with limited understanding of language and social cues. They present with global developmental delay, a short attention span, and low engagement, even in preferred activities. There is no awareness of imaginative play and limited problem-solving skills. Socially, the child is withdrawn, does not engage with peers, and has difficulty with emotional regulation, particularly when routines change. They experience sensory sensitivities and display some inappropriate sensory behaviours, are not yet toilet trained, and require constant supervision due to impulsive and unsafe behaviours. The child enjoys puzzles, routine, and familiar items or foods, but is easily overwhelmed by noise, crowds, and certain tasks. They have struggled in a mainstream nursery environment and require a specialist setting with structured routines, trained staff, access to therapies, and a low-stimulation, supportive environment to meet their high level of need and promote progress in communication, independence, and safe social interaction.
This provision is a vital step in helping the learner rebuild confidence, develop trust in adults, and work towards her goals of caring for animals and achieving academic success.
The tutor would need a QTS and DBS on the update system or willing to get one. They would need to be able to commit to 2 hours a day.
