SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a part-time Accounts Assistant for a highly established based in North Nottingham. This is a permanent role to work on a part-time basis, spread across 4/5 days per week on a hybrid basis. The purpose of the role is to assist the Finance Manager with the day to day running of the Finance Function.
As the Finance Assistant your main duties will include :
- Processing purchase ledger invoices - Reconciling supplier statements, recording missing invoices, requesting copies and following up on the progress of all queries - Create and process supplier payments - Create and update customer records - Posting and allocating daily customer payments - Tracking customer queries and processing credit notes - Communicate with customers/suppliers to ensure invoices are clear for payment - Assist with month end roll over and reporting for both purchase ledger and sales ledger - Updating daily cash books from bank statements - Accounts reconciliations i.e. Bank and credit cards - Assist with the preparation of VAT returns - Daily credit control tasks as agreed with Credit Controller - Cover for credit control annual leave and support during busy periods - Updating weekly exchange rates - Other finance tasks as required
The ideal candidate will ideally have a studied AAT level 2 and have a minimum of 12 months past experience of working in a Finance based role. Solid Excel skills are also essential within the role. You will ensure all targets and objectives are achieved and carry out any other duties as may be required. The role is offering the step into a blue-chip company.
