Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum including London Weighting
Job Types: Full-time (36 hours per week) and Part-time (18 hours per week), 52 weeks per year
We are excited to offer opportunities for both a full-time and a part-time English Lecturer to join our client's School of English and Maths. These roles involve delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English primarily to vocational learners aged 16-18, along with a growing number of part-time adult learners. This is a fantastic chance to contribute significantly to the educational journey of the students, helping them progress to higher education or into the workplace.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to GCSE and Functional Skills students.
Tailor teaching methods to suit a range of learning styles and educational needs, particularly focusing on vocational learners and resit students.
Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share and implement best teaching practices.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student achievement.
Participate in curriculum development activities to enhance the learning experience.
Contribute to the pastoral care of students, guiding them towards academic and vocational success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A degree in English or a closely related subject.
Experience in teaching or tutoring English at GCSE and/or Functional Skills levels.
Proven ability to engage and motivate students aged 16-18 from various vocational backgrounds.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
