Summary

We are working on an exciting opportunity for a part-time Systems Accountant to join an International Company who specialise in ethical travel and volunteer programmes for young adults wishing to visit Asia, South America and Africa. This role will suit someone who is looking to step away from the norm and work for a vibrant, progressive company who offer a fun, high-energy working environment.

Within this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for aligning reporting and process improvements across the global operations. You will also assist with the production of budgets, forecasts, and a variety of reports for external stakeholders. Ideally you will be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA or ACCA), although applications will also be considered from part qualified candidates.

This role could suit a Management Accountant who has an aptitude for complex reporting.

This role is a minimum of 22.5 hours per week; additional hours are available. Hybrid working also available. We will also consider applications from candidates who wish to work full time hours.

Job role and responsibilities

In this Systems Accountant role, you will join their friendly established team where you will be working within a fast-paced environment, with a lot of international interaction. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks which will include the following:

• Provide technical support, help finance teams by fixing system issues and solving technical problems.
• Find ways to automate and improve financial processes for better efficiency.
• Work with IT and finance teams to roll out new systems, upgrades, and tools.
• Train finance staff on using software and reporting tools.
• Create clear financial reports to support decision-making.
• Ensure processes follow accounting principles and internal controls.
• Assist with month-end reporting for multiple entities, including variance analysis for the Finance Director.
• Work with MD’s across entities to explain budgets and update forecasts.

What skills/experience will you need?

• Part/fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience with Power BI, ODBC Links and data extraction and analysis advantageous
• Proactive in your approach and a confident communicator
• Experience of multi-currency & multi-entity environment would be an advantage, although not essential.
• Strong IT systems (Xero, Access Dimension/File Maker would be advantageous)
• Advanced Excel skills to support complex reporting
