We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves teaching Level Two Carpentry Apprentices and collaborating with the Curriculum Manager to expand and develop the department. Your industry experience will be instrumental in inspiring the next generation of skilled experts.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach and mentor Level Two Carpentry Apprentices, providing high-quality education and hands-on training.
  • Work closely with the Curriculum Manager on the expansion and development of the Carpentry & Joinery department.
  • Play a key role in promoting the courses across the Apprenticeship curriculum area through participation in marketing events and sharing your experiences as a construction specialist.
  • Inspire students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their career and life ambitions.
  • Utilise your industry experience to enhance the learning experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future careers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
  • Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
  • Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups in an engaging way.
  • Efficient administration skills to support good student record-keeping.
