About the Role

We are seeking a professional, empathetic, and highly organised individual to join a well-respected family run organisation as a Part Time Front of house and Admin Support. This is a front-facing role that requires discretion, compassion, and excellent communication skills. The role of the Part Time Front of house and Admin Support will be the first point of contact for families and visitors, playing an important part in supporting them during difficult times.

Key Responsibilities of the Part Time Front of house and Admin Support

  • Greet visitors with warmth, respect, and professionalism.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to general enquiries, and direct calls or messages appropriately.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and managing email correspondence.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with the preparation of documentation and liaise with funeral staff as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Perform general office duties to support the smooth running of the business.

Person Specification

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Confident working independently and managing a varied workload.
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Calm, professional, and empathetic manner.
  • Respect for the nature and sensitivity of the services provided.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
