22.5 hours per week across 3 days, flex start and finish times available

Derby (Our Ref AL1375) - core office days Tues & Wed, other days working from home after probation period

Salary to c£35,000 full time equivalent (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner with 2-3 years’ experience within an established wealth management organisation. CII Diploma level 4 is not essential but good technical/industry knowledge is required.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Conduct client research - Prepare research, and paperwork for client review meetings
  • Compile suitability reports from structured templates
  • Prepare complex annual client review letters
  • Process complex new business cases
  • Be responsible for following process and procedures
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role
  • To provide advanced business support for Financial Planners, working within agreed business objectives
  • Providing accurate information to the management team when requested

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Ability to empathise and build strong business relationships
  • Ability to interpret data and produce recommendations with supporting evidence
  • Back-office systems, preferably Iress Xplan (possible business progression to Intelliflo so a knowledge of this system is also preferable)
  • Excellent standard of written & verbal communication
  • Experience of Defaqto/Centra, FEA Analytics and other industry analysis tools
  • Experience with suitability report writing
  • Good technical knowledge of pension regulations and taxation of investments and bonds
  • IT Literate and be competent in the use of Word and Excel
  • Numerate - have good analytical skills
  • Proactive, with an ability to multi-task and be able to prioritise your own workloads and be able to work using your own initiative.
