Part-Time Purchasing Assistant
Location: West Hull

Salary: £14000 for 20 hours per week

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is confident in managing administrative processes with precision.

You will play a key role in supporting the purchasing and sales operations, ensuring the smooth handling of customer quotes, purchase orders, and supplier communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems
  • Assist in resolving administrative queries and issues
  • Create and maintain project files from sales orders using Sage 50
  • Prepare purchase orders as directed by the line manager
  • Verify delivery notes against purchase orders for accuracy
  • Follow up on purchase order dispatch dates
  • Ensure timely booking of issue sheets on Sage
  • Provide clerical support to the Accounts Office and line manager
  • Carry out other relevant administrative duties as required

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Sage 50
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Literate, numerate, and able to work accurately under pressure
