  • Salary: £30,870.61 - £36,157.50 per annum

This a fantastic opportunity as the Director of Higher Education and Registry and lead the way in supporting learners to achieve their ambitions. This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Higher Education within a vibrant community-focused institution.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the strategic development, quality assurance, and operational delivery of Higher Education across the College.
  • Act as the institutional HE Registrar, ensuring full compliance with the Office for Students (OfS) and QAA requirements.
  • Oversee governance structures, support curriculum innovation, and champion the student voice.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the HE learner journey.
  • Establish and oversee an Institute of Higher Education with a distinct and inclusive identity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the HE brand and regional influence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Honours degree (essential); master’s degree or equivalent (desirable).
  • Full teaching qualification.
  • Proven senior-level experience in managing HE within a further education environment.
  • Strong background in academic governance, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Track record of developing and delivering successful HE curricula.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK HE regulatory landscape, including OfS and QAA.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change and deliver operational excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Passionate about widening participation, student success, and inclusive education.
