I am working with a vibrant Catholic Primary school located in Wiltshire that is more than just a place where children learn to read and write. This school's values go beyond academics—they are the values of kindness, respect, and love for one another, rooted in our Christian faith. This school has the opportunity for a part time PPA to join the Staff body, with flexible days.
As a Planning, Preparation and Assessment teacher you will be expected to cover classes for teachers during their statutory PPA time, reducing the work load on teachers allowing them dedicated time to plan lessons and assess pupils progress. You will need to be adaptable, providing high quality teaching across the whole curriculum to a variety of ages.
Responsibilities:
Delivering preplanned lessons to pupils, occasionally using your own resources.
Reinforcing learning objects set by the teacher and a strong understanding of the school curriculum.
Bring your best self to work every day, pupils are supported by adults always doing the best for them.
Create a positive learning environment that is in line with the school's values of kindness, hard work and taking responsibility for our actions and decisions.
Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on teaching practices
Work in collaboration with other members of staff to support diverse learning.
Be alert to child protection concerns and follow safeguarding procedures to best support students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children is essential.
Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree or PGCE
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents and colleagues effectively.
Confidence and assertiveness within a classroom environment with strong behavioural management skills.
An understanding of relevant safe guarding and child protection procedures.
