Assistant Management Accountant
Part-Time | Permanent | Hybrid | Milton Park, Abingdon | £32,000 per annum

SF Recruitment is supporting a well-established organisation based in Milton Park, Abingdon in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a flexible, part-time position ranging from 15 to 22.5 hours per week, ideal for someone looking to balance professional development with flexibility.

About the Role:
You'll work closely with the Senior Management Accountant to deliver high-quality management accounting and reporting support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to be part of a collaborative and supportive finance team.

Responsibilities Include:

Preparing the monthly reporting pack for senior management

Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

Managing sales and purchase ledgers, including preparation of payment runs

Handling the finance inbox and ensuring prompt responses to queries

Liaising with project managers on financial aspects of projects

Preparing quarterly VAT returns for review and submission

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1-2 years' experience in a similar accounting role

Studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with computerised accounting systems (Sage experience preferred)

Methodical, proactive, and capable of using initiative

Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
