Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Trainee / Apprentice Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Trainee Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of dishes, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a positive working environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with an emphasis on high-quality food preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Requirements

  • Must be able to drive as the location is in a remote village.
  • Must be willing to undergo catering qualifications as required.
  • Must be presentable and hard working
