What will you do as a Governance Professional?

  • Provide advice, support and guidance in relation to governance best practice
  • Providing effective clerical and administrative support to school governing boards
  • Implementing, monitor and review systems for the quality control of board documentation
  • Work closely with the Board in relation to forward planning and compliance
  • Attend governance meetings and provide accurate minutes
  • Ability to build/maintain relationships with the Board, it’s chair and senior leaders

What do you need to be a Governance Professional?

  • Experience as a senior administrator, including taking and producing accurate minutes
  • Knowledge of school governance and compliance would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Experience in using a range of ICT packages
  • Able to travel to various locations throughout the West Midlands
  • Ability to work flexible hours (including some evening work)
