Learning Support Assistant - STAINES-

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers in delivering differentiated learning to meet varied student needs
Provide focused one-on-one or small group support to help students grasp curriculum content
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Monitor student progress and provide insightful feedback to teaching staff
Encourage student confidence and engagement in a nurturing environment
Ensure student safety and well-being during class activities
Help prepare engaging educational resources and materials
Participate in training and development sessions to continually enhance your skills

What We’re Looking For:

Applicants must have relevant experience—this could be from the education sector, care industry, youth work, or roles such as policing where transferable skills are applicable
Strong communication skills – verbal and written – to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to support each learner's journey
Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed
Understanding of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction is advantageous
Relevant qualifications in education or child development are a bonus, though not essential

Pay: £95.86 - £105.40 per day
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
