Operations Coordinator
Reed have partnered with a market leading company based in Bridgwater, Somerset to hire for an Operations Coordinator on a permanent basis, offering either full or part time hours.
This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative support across various HR, health and safety, and operational tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations and effective support for ongoing projects.
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours) or part-time options available to suit candidate preferences, such as shorter hours over 5 days or 4 full days.
Salary: Full time equivalent - £25,000 - £28,000 (Pro rata'd amount - £20,000 - £22,400)
Duties:
- Assist with HR-related tasks such as drafting letters, maintaining records, organising return-to-work meetings, tracking attendance, and supporting the onboarding of new employees.
- Manage health and safety postings, attend meetings to take notes, and support compliance checks for health and safety documentation.
- Manage timesheets, track and order supplies, maintain organised filing systems, and coordinate internal and external meetings.
- Process accounts payable and sales invoices, help track departmental expenses, and enter purchase requests.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external queries related to HR or administrative processes and draft internal memos and announcements.
- Provide support for setting up access to systems and troubleshooting minor IT issues.
- Arrange travel bookings for employees attending offsite training or meetings.
Requirements:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other administrative tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably supporting HR or health and safety teams.
- Familiarity with HR systems and training coordination is an asset.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
