Accounts Manager needed!
Location: Warwickshire (rural Stratford-upon-Avon area)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, full-time or slightly reduced hours considered

Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take ownership of the accounts function in a fast-paced, growing SME? We’re looking for a hands-on Accounts Manager to lead financial operations, ensure compliance, and support the business’s continued growth and digital transformation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for the integrity of financial records, payroll, supplier management, and statutory compliance. You’ll also oversee a junior finance member and collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data aligns with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Compliance

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly management accounts and journals
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, and Companies House deadlines
  • Submit VAT returns and support year-end reporting

Payroll & Statutory Duties

  • Process payroll, pensions, and HMRC submissions
  • Manage employee expenses and mileage claims

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Oversee accounts payable, credit terms, and supplier reconciliations
  • Resolve invoice queries and ensure timely payments

Stock, Assets & Inventory

  • Collaborate with Inventory & Parts teams to maintain stock accuracy
  • Track company assets and support real-time product costing

Cash Flow & Banking

  • Monitor daily cash flow and prepare forecasts
  • Manage banking relationships and online payment approvals

Systems & Controls

  • Maintain and improve use of software, inventory, and related systems
  • Implement financial controls and process improvements
  • Support data alignment with eCommerce platforms
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate significant SME experience within a similar role. You will also have strong Excel and software skills.
