Role: Junior Bookkeeper
Location: Brighton
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, 1-hour lunch). Minimum 30 hours / 4 days per week considered.
Pay: £23,800+ per annum (dependent on experience)

The Requirements:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping

• Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, ClearBooks)

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Familiarity with VAT and CIS return preparation

• Comfortable with trial balance bookkeeping including reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

• Competency with IRIS and Xero software advantageous

• Must have legal right to work in the UK

The Role:

• Carrying out bookkeeping duties for a range of clients using multiple software platforms

• Supporting clients with bookkeeping and software queries

• Liaising with clients to ensure records are accurate and VAT returns are submitted on time

• Preparing schedules and reports as required

• Completing and filing VAT and CIS returns

• Ensuring client work is completed within set deadlines
