Purchase Ledger Clerk/Accounts Assistant

We're on the lookout for a dependable and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and established finance team based in Billingham.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident working with numbers and wants a role that offers a good work-life balance, strong benefits, and room to grow. While this position is full-time, there’s flexibility for a 4-day working week for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing and reconciling supplier invoices
  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices accurately
  • Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations
  • Preparing and running payments
  • Assisting with month-end tasks
  • Providing general support to the wider finance team
  • Dealing with invoice queries, both internally and externally
  • Keeping records neat, accurate, and up to date

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a purchase ledger or accounts assistant role
  • Confident with Excel and familiar with accounting software
