Salary: £21,000 per annum (based on 30 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time (30 hours per week)

About the Role:
We are partnering with a well-established, people-focused business in Wednesbury seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Administrator to join their collaborative People Team. This is a permanent, part-time role with a supportive work environment and opportunities for development.

You will initially work full-time in the office for training, with the option to work from home one day per week once fully trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll, which will be a primary responsibility taking up 1.5 to 2 weeks per month

  • Support HR activities such as onboarding, employee record maintenance, and people processes

  • Manage urgent tasks and respond promptly to business needs

  • Assist with company vehicle administration and internal engagement platforms

  • Respond to employee queries and support wellbeing initiatives

  • Communicate confidently with colleagues across all levels of the business

  • Collaborate effectively within the People Team, contributing ideas and supporting others

Person Specification:

  • Previous HR experience is essential

  • Proven payroll processing experience

  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills

  • Ability to handle urgent tasks calmly and efficiently

  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP desirable (training available)

  • Approachable, proactive, and a strong team player
