  • Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Salary: £20,000 to £22,500 for the 4 days & DOE

Join our team as a Purchase Ledger, where you will be instrumental in managing our financial transactions with precision and efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong background in accounting practices.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Code, check, and process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers via BACS.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and bank statements to ensure accurate records.
  • Manage and record daily bank transactions.
  • Address supplier queries and resolve invoice-related disputes effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to purchase ledger activities.
  • Manage assets creation after inputting invoices onto the system.
  • Calculate and manage VAT payments on invoices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High accuracy is crucial for maintaining correct financial records.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of paperwork and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Must have effective communication abilities with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (Sage 200) and other relevant systems.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles related to purchase ledger management.
