We are currently recruiting Health Care Assistants in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire to join our professional team, delivering high-quality, person centred care to individuals with complex needs within their own homes.

Role Overview

This position involves supporting an individual with complex care needs in their home. While prior experience with adults with learning disabilities or similar needs is advantageous, it is not mandatory. A compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated approach is essential, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • - Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual through attentive and responsive care.
  • - Provide healthcare support as trained, with a focus on promoting the individual's overall health and quality of life.
  • - Encourage and facilitate independence wherever possible and appropriate.
  • - Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, the management team, and colleagues to ensure consistent and tailored care.
  • - Plan and engage the individual in meaningful activities to promote stimulation and engagement.
  • - Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records.
  • - Assist with personal care as required.
  • - Provide respite and additional support to the individual’s family or guardians.

Essential Requirements

  • - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • - Two valid references.
  • - Two forms of identification.
  • - Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • - A willingness to pursue a Level 2/3 Health and Social Care Diploma.

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential)

  • - A valid DBS certificate (Update Service).
  • - NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualifications in health and social care.
  • - A full UK driver’s license.

Working Hours

Flexible full-time and part-time hours are available, with shift patterns including:

- 08:00-20:00 - Day Shift

- 20:00-08:00 - Waking Night Shift
