Credit Controller

You're not new to this.

You've done the chasing. The allocating. The polite-but-firm emails. The "just following up again" calls. You've probably heard every excuse under the sun for why an invoice hasn't been paid - and smiled through all of them.

We need someone like that. Someone who gets it. Someone who can chase payments without sounding like a debt collector - but still gets the money in.

Here's what the job actually involves:
??Keeping on top of the Credit Control inbox - because it fills up fast.
??Releasing orders (yes, the ones held because customers haven't paid).
??Posting cash, doing allocations, journals - the good stuff.
??Making those calls and sending reminders. Persistence is your thing.
??Taking payments over the phone (yep, people still do that).
??Helping with legal bits - we use Thomas Higgins when it gets serious.
??Doing the daily upload and reconciliation for IF (you'll know if you know).
??And yes, there's a daily report. Nothing fancy. But important.

It's 20 hours a week, office-based - no hybrid, no remote. You'll need to be around to pick things up and chase things down.

You'll get:
??23 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata).
??Free parking on site (which, depending on where you've worked before, might feel like a small miracle).

We're not looking for a unicorn. Just someone competent, reliable, and not afraid to get on the phone.
