We're looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, working closely with a young person with an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This is a unique opportunity to work in a 2:1 hub-style setting, supporting a young person on their journey to greater independence and success.

Responsibilites:
  • Working under the guidance of a SEND Teacher to deliver high-quality, personalised learning and support.

  • Helping to implement EHCP objectives through engaging and structured programmes.

  • Supporting the young person's social, emotional and educational development using an emotion coaching approach.

  • Collaborating with families, professionals, and external agencies to drive meaningful progress.

  • Adapting materials and strategies to meet a range of learning, behavioural and physical needs.

  • Monitoring and recording progress, contributing to reviews, and celebrating successes along the way.

  • Being flexible in your working location to meet the needs of the individual child.

Requirements:

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, committed, and creative in their approach. You'll also need to demonstrate:

  • A Level 3 or above qualification in Child Development or Early Years Education
  • A relevant SEN qualification (an additional SEND qualification is a bonus!)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs in educational settings
  • A strong understanding of SEND legislation and the needs of learners with disabilities
  • The ability to engage and motivate learners while maintaining clear, structured routines
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
