Part Time HR Manager
Due to our continued expansion , we are now looking to recruit a new position into our management structure ; a Part Time HR Manager. You will be joining us at a very exciting time of growth in our business, working with a highly motivated and incredibly passionate team of people. We recognise that in order to manage this expansion, and not loose our culture and ethos, we require an HR professional to provide comprehensive HR support across the business from onboarding to exit interviews whilst ensuring effective management of employee records, all HR processes, and internal systems, and supporting the Heads of Department across the business with their HR requirements
This is an office based role, 20 hours a week/ 4 hours a day, mornings or afternoons and our ideal candidate will be CIPD level 5 qualified with a minimum of 3 years work place experience
Overview of the role of Part Time HR Manager
The role of Part Time HR Manager involves maintaining and updating HR files including company policies, conducting reference checks, managing new starter setups and inductions and overseeing employee benefits such as our EAP, healthcare, and insurance. Other responsibilities include control of the companies training programme, employee engagement initiatives and monitoring of absence trends
Role and Responsibilities for the position of Part Time HR Manager
- Work with Recruitment Manager for successful onboarding of all new employees. Offer letters, Contracts, Desk space, IT kit. Organising, monitoring and follow up of successful induction plans. 3 month probation review (with line manager)
- Management of up-to-date Job Descriptions, PDPs and appraisal processes to make sure they provide a clear overview of each open position and meet all legal requirements
- Management of overseas employee contracts
- Management and updating of the Company Handbook to ensure it is in line with UK legislation
- Negotiating employee compensation, assist managers determine appropriate raises and performance bonuses
- Management of time off (holidays, Sick, Mat leave etc)
- Plan Company events
- Training Directors / Managers in HR compliance
- Managing employee relations, build company rapport, resolve any conflicts among employees and departments
- Monitoring compliance, ensure that department managers avoid discrimination, follow safety regulations and only terminate an employee in particular circumstances
- Supporting Managers / Directors with disciplinary proceedings
- To continually appraise renumeration and benefits packages and ensure that Quest is the employer of choice in the local area
- Ensuring Health & Safety / Fire / First Aid regulations and current and suitably staffed
- Management of company EAP, healthcare, and group life assurance
- Development and implementation of company wide training and Learning & Development programmes
- Creation and management of Company Organisation charts
- Working with Directors / Managers on the annual company pay rise & bonus schedule
- Manage Company Disaster Recovery Plan (update & test)
- Manage company insurance handbook
Experience and skills required for the role of Part Time HR Manager
- Ideally degree qualified with CIPD level 5
- Minimum 3 years work place HR Management experience
- Proven experience in managing HR processes, advising managers on HR policy including disciplinary processes
- Experience in conflict resolution, but most importantly a proven background in maintaining the positive relationships that exist within our teams
- Strong understanding of UK legislation
- Training and Development programmes
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
