Part time Accounts/HR Assistant -Immediate start
Reporting to: Finance Manager
Location: Leighton Buzzard (office based)
Working Hours: 15 hours per week, 9am-12pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 pro rata
About the Role: We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and hands-on Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Leighton Buzzard. Capable of working independently but being part of a team, ensuring deadlines are met in this friendly, family run business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry and invoice authorising/processing
- Matching purchase invoices to GRNs / purchase orders & investigating discrepancies
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Processing purchase ledger transactions
- Supporting month-end procedures (credit card posting and reconciliation)
- Liaising with suppliers and internally regarding payment queries
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team including daily invoicing
- HR administrative tasks re issuing starter packs/contracts
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar accounts role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Word/Excel (Xero Accounts experience preferable)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Some HR experience would be preferable but not essential
