Reed is partnering with a large legal practice in Brighouse who are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is client-focused and prides themselves on delivering a professional, helpful, and friendly service. The position involves working with both residential and new build property teams.
Day-to-day of the role:
Open new files and input new instructions onto the Case Management system, producing relevant letters and documents
Update the Case Management system in accordance with team procedures as the matter progresses
Issue contracts on sale files and assist in dealing with replies to enquiries
Order searches and handle exchanges and related paperwork
Set up completions and issue Mortgage reports to clients
Manage incoming post and handle telephone enquiries where possible
Perform general office tasks such as filing, billing, faxing, photocopying, sorting post, and archiving
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Good keyboard skills with the ability to work accurately
Literate and numerate with a customer-friendly and effective approach to enquiries
Experience in conveyancing, specifically sales and purchase, is essential
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines
A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the capability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
