SALARY: £24,027 - £24,404 pro rata + Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a School Transport Minibus Driver with a current D1 driving licence, experience of driving a small commercial vehicle or minibus and good communication skills, to work with students, their caregivers and school staff to ensure safe travel to and from school.

As a School Transport Minibus Driver you will help operate a continually effective daily transport service with responsibility for the general welfare and safety of passengers carried on the vehicle. This will include assisting passengers on and off vehicles both with and without the use of a tail-lift where necessary.

DUTIES

Your duties as the School Transport Minibus Driver will include:

• Taking people to school and other locations in a calm safe manner

• Working as a team with a passenger assistant if appropriate

• Complying with all current road traffic legislation

• Able to check vehicles to ensure road worthiness

• Have a caring and patient manner

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As theSchool Transport Minibus Driver you will have:

• A current D1 driving licence

• Experience of driving a small commercial vehicle or minibus

• Experience of working with the public in a caring role

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service to clients and their families

• Experience of working with children and young people with SEN
