Robinson house is looking to recruit a maintenance assistant to join the team. This is a part time 20 hours role.
 
Robinson House is located in Soham, in Ely. The service offers residential support for 10 males and females who have a primary learning disability diagnosis. We are located off a main road, just outside the town centre.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

• Ensuring the home is maintained as a safe and secure place to live for the residents
• Maintaining the home and grounds to ensure they are in excellent condition at all times
• Work closely with the home manager on long term maintenance plans
• Check and repair fixtures and fittings that may include lighting and heating

Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The role demands the ability to work with minimum supervision while maintaining a strong customer-focused attitude and a solid team-working ethic. Experience and understanding in building, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical disciplines are desirable.
