We are excited to represent a growing, innovative and worthwhile Oxfordshire based organisation, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced People and Culture Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, ideal for someone passionate about building a strong company culture and improving workplace efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
Collaborate with the COO and leadership team to contribute to and implement an overall People Strategy and People policies, focusing on EVP, people development, health, mental health, wellbeing, and DEI.
Handle all aspects of staff recruitment, from writing and issuing employment contracts to managing the onboarding process.
Lead the implementation of a new HRIS, including data migration and training colleagues.
Manage the HRIS, maintain staff leave records, and ensure compliance with national laws and regulations.
Provide HR and organisational inductions for new staff.
Keep employment policies relevant and up-to-date, introducing new policies as necessary.
Serve as the main point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, offering timely, solutions-focused support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Manage the organisation’s appraisal process and cycle, handle disciplinary processes and formal grievances.
Provide regular reports on HR activities and strategic initiatives to the Senior Leadership Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of three years’ experience in a HR Officer role within a high-growth organisation.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent data and analysis skills, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new systems quickly.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent and/or CIPD Level 5 or above.
