As a Safe and Well Coach, you’ll visit customers in both our client’s refuge and community settings to complete safe and well checks. You’ll address issues like anti-social behaviour or security concerns, making sure appropriate solutions are put in place. You’ll always keep customer safety at the centre of everything you do, and make sure the right information is shared with the on-call manager where needed.
Please note:
This is an evening and weekend role (weekdays 4-10pm, weekends 12-6pm) working on a four-on and four-off shift pattern
Job requirements
Make sure new customers feel welcome when they move in and understand the support available and their responsibilities in the accommodation.
Visit identified properties and complete the safe and well checks as agreed by the Team.
Alongside the day staff, ensure that all accommodation is secure and Health and Safety Standards are met.
Keep safety and risk management plans updated to reflect any new risks and respond to any safeguarding concerns or risks in line with the Risk Management Policy, and record incidents clearly and accurately.
Ensure any Anti-Social Behaviour or illegal activity is challenged and dealt with appropriately, including responding to any neighbours affected and liaising with police when necessary.
Answer the on-call out-of-hours line and respond to any issues or emergencies from male and female customers and their children in the refuge and community.
Keep accurate, up-to-date records, details, and notes within their CRM system ‘Oasis’.
Support the Team leader to meet void targets by preparing rooms for re-let.
Take responsibility for your tasks and personal development by agreeing on development plans and completing training to build your skills and knowledge.
What they’re looking for
A good standard of education, for example GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
Experience in risk assessment and supporting people with complex needs.
A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships. You’ll be their voice, so you’ll need great communication skills to provide them with the best support to keep them safe.
Basic ICT skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Great problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
Able to work independently and remotely, being self-motivated with great time management and the ability to prioritise high-risk cases.
A full UK driving licence and a vehicle suitable for business use.
