?? Your Mission:

  • Provide person-centred care that puts each individual’s voice, choices, and independence at the heart of everything

  • Promote physical and emotional wellbeing, dignity, and respect

  • Enable individuals to access local groups, activities, and develop friendships and community connections

  • Build strong professional relationships with families, colleagues, and external partners

  • Support with daily tasks including personal care, domestic responsibilities, and community-based activities

  • Safeguard the people you support by following best practice in medication, finance, and risk management

  • Be an advocate, keyworker, and a consistent presence in someone's life

?? What You’ll Bring:

Essential:

  • A caring, empathetic nature and a real desire to support people to live their best lives

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong team player with active listening and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence using basic IT systems (email, reports, care plans etc.)

  • Willingness to support personal care and health needs with dignity and respect

  • Flexible, resilient and able to adapt to individuals’ changing needs

  • Commitment to inclusion, fairness, and respecting diversity

  • Willing to undertake all required training, including Positive Behaviour Support and non-verbal communication techniques (e.g., Makaton)

Desirable:

  • Experience in social care, supported living or mental health

  • Knowledge of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and Health & Safety

  • Local area knowledge and/or additional languages

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (may be essential for some services)

  • Specific training or qualifications in areas like autism, dementia, or learning disabilities

  • £24,829 per annum + £1200 complexity payment per annum (pro rata)
  • Full time 39hours - Shifts are from 7am to 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday including mid-day shifts.
  • The people we support are very active and enjoy swimming, long walks and bike rides so we are looking for Support Workers who are willing to get involved with this.
  • A full UK driving license is essential due to the lack of public transport in the area and around the service. We are also looking for someone who would be willing to drive the service vehicles on site, there are manual & automatic cars on site.
