Join our team as a Lecturer in Business and Accounting, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of our students. This position involves designing, developing, and delivering educational material across various modules or within a specific subject area. You will engage and inspire students, leading to high achievement by employing innovative teaching strategies and maintaining high standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes using a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
- Assess and identify learners' needs throughout their programme to tailor educational delivery.
- Plan, design, and facilitate learning sessions in alignment with course objectives, assessment methods, and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programmes and your teaching practices.
- Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
- Promote inclusivity and equal opportunities within the educational environment.
- Engage in activities that support the recruitment and enrolment of learners.
- Maintain a safe learning environment, promoting health and safety practices.
- Deliver engaging and outstanding learning experiences, using creative strategies to maximize learner potential.
- Provide both academic and pastoral support to learners.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on learners' work.
- Champion and embed Maths and English skills development within your teaching.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or professional/vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
- AAT or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Teaching qualification in line with current FE requirements, or willingness to obtain one.
- Proven teaching or training experience within the relevant subject area.
- Strong understanding or experience in promoting inclusive learning and equal opportunities.
- Experience in administration and organisation to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with continuous quality improvement processes.
- Desirable: Experience in curriculum development and contributing to a curriculum area to ensure high-quality outcomes.
