A well-established firm of chartered accountants in Preston are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly, close-knit team.

This firm have over 40 years of history in the local area, the firm prides itself on providing high-quality, personalised service to a loyal and expanding client base. What you'll be doing

• Carrying out accurate and timely bookkeeping for a variety of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Performing bank reconciliations and analysis
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide a helpful and responsive service
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office

What we're looking for

• Proven bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of VAT, bank reconciliations and financial record-keeping
• Proficiency with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and Excel would be ideal, but training on systems can be provided for the right person
• Someone looking for long-term employment in a collaborative and down-to-earth team
• A proactive team player with strong communication skills
