Job Description

We're recruiting for an Engineering Manager with strong Azure Cloud knowledge to join our Infrastructure & Operations team in Group Tech, based out of either London or Hove.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about Azure Cloud technologies and modern engineering practices to lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented engineers. You'll lead by example, ensuring that best practice is implemented in your day to day work, as an exemplar to other engineers within the capability family.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers across multiple product and service teams
  • Collaborating with architecture and product colleagues to deliver scalable Azure solutions
  • Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, team culture and delivery processes
  • Championing secure, resilient and high-performing infrastructure using modern DevOps tools
  • Supporting automated testing and quality assurance alongside Test Engineers
  • Using data and metrics to inform decisions and improve deployment and monitoring
  • Coaching engineers to grow their skills and remove blockers to their success
  • Ensuring governance and compliance standards are met across Azure platforms
Qualifications

Who we're looking for:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure and services
  • Proficiency in Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and cloud networking principles
  • A collaborative and inclusive leadership style with mentoring experience
  • Ability to manage individuals across different scrum or technical teams
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to documentation and quality
  • A proactive approach to learning, development and continuous improvement
