we are seeking a committed and experienced registered individual to oversee the operation and quality of care in our supported accommodation. The role itself highlights an important duty to ensure the home meets highest standards of care, in line with Ofsted regulations, , the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards. The responsible individual will provide effective governance, as well as providing a strategic oversight and ensure the safe , effective compliant operation of sup[ported living services for 16–17-year-olds. The Nominated Individual is the designated person responsible to Ofsted, ensuring the service meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements, promotes positive outcomes, and supports young people’s preparation for adulthood and independence as well as ensuring the Registered Manager and staff deliver safe, nurturing, and outcome-focused care for children and young people.

Our aim is to provide tailored care and support for young people who have left care, to empower and guide them to semi-independent living and gain their own independence and promote autonomy.
At Maxim Care Limited, our purpose is to provide a nurturing, structured and secure environment for young people aged 16-17 who are in need of supported accommodation. Our service is designed to bridge the gap between dependence and independence equipping young people with the necessary life skills, emotional resilience, and confidence to transition into adulthood successfully.
Key responsibilities
· Ensure the home meets all legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Working Together to Safeguard Children).
· Provide strategic support and supervision to the Registered Manager.
· Monitor care quality, safeguarding, and staff performance on a regular basis.
· Drive the home toward maintaining a “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted rating.
· Foster a culture of high standards, ambition, and continuous improvement.
· Oversee staffing: recruitment, training, development, and retention.
· Advocate for children’s rights—making their voice central to all care planning.
· Manage the home’s budget, health and safety, and risk protocols.
· Coordinate with external partners, including local authorities and inspectors.
· Report to the Registered Provider and contribute to long term planning
1. Ofsted Compliance & Governance
Act as the main point of contact between the provider and Ofsted, ensuring full compliance with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
Ensure the service meets all requirements outlined in ‘Guide to the Supported Accommodation Regulations including Quality Standards’ (DfE, 2023).
Oversee the development and regular review of the Statement of Purpose, ensuring it accurately reflects the service and is shared with Ofsted as required.
Monitor and review policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current legislation and guidance.
Lead on service preparation for Ofsted inspections and ensure timely responses to inspection outcomes and actions.

2. Safeguarding & Welfare
Champion a strong safeguarding culture across the service in line with Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Children Act 1989/2004.
Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed and reported in line with local safeguarding procedures and Ofsted expectations.
Support and challenge managers and staff to uphold high standards of practice that promote safety, emotional wellbeing, and protection from harm.
. Quality Assurance & Monitoring
Implement robust systems for monitoring and reviewing service delivery and young people’s experiences.
Use data, feedback, and audits to assess the effectiveness of care and support, ensuring continuous improvement.
Ensure any significant incidents, complaints, or allegations are managed appropriately and notified to Ofsted when required.
