Are you an organised and hands-on individual with a passion for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Astute Recruitment is working with a well-established Burton-on-Trent client seeking a Stock Controller to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play a vital role in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you’ll take ownership of various aspects of inventory management, helping to ensure the smooth flow of goods from production to customer dispatch.

Main Responsibilities:

• Produce stock from process sheets across work-in-progress and finished goods
• Prepare daily loading lists for customer dispatches
• Raise purchase order requests from internal departments
• Process goods receipts into the system
• Support monthly stock takes and reconcile any variances
• Update bill of materials within the system
• Generate and manage barcodes for products
• Provide cover on the sales order desk when needed
• Liaise with production supervisors and other non-financial staff to resolve queries

Candidate requirements:

• Organised and methodical approach to work
• Comfortable with Excel and general systems work
• A proactive, hands-on attitude – willing to get out onto the shop floor
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both finance and production teams

Benefits and hours:

• Salary: £25,000 Full time equivalent
• Approx. 25 hours per week over 5 days – flexible, ideally between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm
