Part Time Legal Secretary

The Job:

On behalf of our client we are assisting them with their search for a Part Time Legal Secretary for their conveyancing team. This is working for a lovely north somerset law firm who offers hybrid working once trained and flexible part time hours. This is. In this role, you will provide direct support to the Conveyancing team, working closely with them throughout the residential conveyancing process. Your responsibilities will include drafting SDLTs, Replies to Requisitions, and Transfer Deeds, handling basic inquiries, producing case management letters, and managing all AML onboarding procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for opening and closing files, communicating with agents and clients over the phone to provide updates, and performing all other duties associated with a Residential Conveyancing Secretary/Paralegal position.


The Person:

For this role our client is seeking previous conveyancing support experience as a conveyancing secretary or a conveyancing paralegal or legal assistant. You will have gained a good understanding of the conveyancing process. They are also looking for someone who has an excellent telephone, interpersonal, and typing skills. In addition to this they are seeking someone who is able to prioritise work confidentially and timely and be able to manage their own workload effectively. It’s also key that you have the ability to meet tight deadlines as this is a busy department. Good IT skills are also key.
