Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Administrator

Location: Staines Upon Thames
Working Hours: 2 days per week (Wed and Fridays ideally)
Salary: £35-39k pro rata

We are a dynamic and growing haulage and construction company, committed to delivering high-quality services across our projects. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support our finance and administrative functions on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping & Finance:

    • Prepare and issue customer invoices
    • Process supplier invoices and payments
    • Reconcile bank statements and accounts
    • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
    • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
    • Manage two inboxes for two companies

Office Administration:

    • General office duties including filing, answering calls, and managing emails for two inboxes for two companies
    • Maintain and update spreadsheets and records - must have strong Excel skills
    • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and office administration ( AAT qualification an advantage) 
  • Strong knowledge of VAT and invoicing procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data entry)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
  • Experience in the haulage or construction industry an advantage
  • Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) would be advantageous
