The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our client's sales team in the gas and energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take full responsibility for a portfolio of commercial bulk customers across a defined UK territory.
As a Business Development Manager, around 80% of your focus will be on generating new business, with the remaining 20% dedicated to managing and growing existing accounts. You'll be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives.
This role is ideal for a skilled Business Development Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment and is passionate about delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage a portfolio of commercial bulk gas accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Deliver sales targets include volume, revenue, gross margin, lead conversion, re-contracting, and additional revenue (e.g. non-gas services).
Lead on strategic and tactical account planning across your region.
Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities and drive contract renewals.
Monitor pricing and implement annual RPI inflation increases.
Attend industry events and act as a brand ambassador for the business.
Regularly monitor and report on competitor activity.
Liaise with cross-functional support teams to ensure seamless customer delivery.
Ensure accurate CRM and sales reporting using company tools (e.g., DCF, CPI).
Champion safety, compliance, and industry best practice at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong experience in B2B sales and account management.
Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and manage time
A technical mindset and understanding of LPG or similar energy sectors (desirable).
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role across multiple UK regions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Confident using Microsoft Office and internal pricing tools.
A full UK driving license is essential.
