The Opportunity:
QBE Europe is recruiting for an Operational Resilience Manager to join a well-established risk and resilience team. In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance and implementation of policies and frameworks for business continuity and operational resilience. You will champion practical resilience solutions to support the business implement, test and enhance resilience solutions.
Your New Role:
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational resilience and business continuity frameworks.
Champion resilience across the business, ensuring solutions are practical, tested, and embedded.
Engage stakeholders across all levels, building strong relationships and driving delivery through effective communication and influence.
Coordinate crisis and incident response, ensuring readiness and effective execution.
Deliver training and communications that resonate with diverse business functions.
Identify vulnerabilities through testing and scenario planning, and support strategic mitigation.
Manage resilience tools and vendor relationships, ensuring systems support business needs.
Foster collaboration within the team and wider business, sharing ideas and integrating QBE values into everyday work.
Support development of junior team members while continuing your own professional growth.
About you:
Strong experience in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity within Insurance or Banking.
A resilience-first mindset – focused on business planning, continuity, and recovery.
Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders, including navigating difficult conversations.
Proven experience of handling data and producing operational documentation in a structured, coherent, and efficient manner for various audiences
A collaborative mindset – someone who works effectively with others, contributes ideas openly, and communicates in a way that aligns with the needs and language of the business.
Experience of working in a regulated environment & dealing with internal and external audits would be helpful.
A foundation in resilience frameworks, with room to grow and develop further
