Acacia Lodge is a dedicated 18-bedded nursing care home committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for our residents. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team and help maintain our facility to the highest standards.

What You’ll be Doing

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any maintenance issues.
• Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly and safely.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas, including gardens and walkways.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and activities within the home.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report any major issues to management.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Ability to handle basic tools and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings if needed.
