We are seeking a Personal Tax professional for an exciting opportunity to work remotely from home on a part time basis for our tax practice.

We are a modern and forward-thinking online tax consultancy, providing self-assessment tax preparation services to individuals located worldwide, primarily for those with property investments in the UK or overseas.

This is a key role within a specialised tax practice, in which you will assist private clients with all aspects of their tax compliance requirements. You will support a variety of tax advisory and planning tasks for individuals, alongside collating large volumes of transactions to help prepare tax disclosures spanning up to 20 years.

In addition to previous experience in a tax or accountancy practice, the ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in personal tax and demonstrate strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, the capability to foster strong working relationships, and the innate ability to communicate effectively with clients.

This is a permanent position of 22.5 - 30 hours per week. Salary of £30,000 to £35,000 (pro rata - full time equivalent is 37.5 hours per week) depending on experience, plus:

  • 30 days holiday including bank holidays plus an additional day for each year of service (pro rata);

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as the primary point of contact;
  • Undertake all compliance aspects associated with a portfolio of private clients, including the management of client tax queries;
  • Producing accurate rental bookkeeping records using Excel ready for Self-Assessment preparations on both cash basis and accrual methods of accounting;
  • Assist as required on tax technical issues and be involved in technical research.

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Full or part ATT or CTA qualified. Solid QBE would be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in tax compliance is essential
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and provide excellent client care
  • Experience in the preparation of individual Self Assessment tax returns, and CGT returns is preferred
  • Experience with non-UK residents and non-dom individuals would be advantageous

UK Tax Returns £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, pro-rata Bristol
