Our Client, a vibrant and fast-growing boutique creative agency located in the heart of London, are currently seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Finance & Assistant to support their team on a part-time basis This dual-responsibility role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency, while also contributing to a positive and compliant HR environment.

This is a part-time role (3 days a week) and provide hybrid working (1 day a week in the office).

Day-to-day of the role:

Finance Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, prepare weekly payment runs, reconcile supplier statements, and manage supplier queries.
  • Accounts Receivable: Assist with client invoicing, perform credit control activities, and ensure accurate client account reconciliations.
  • Bank & Cash Management: Conduct daily bank reconciliations and process company credit card statements and staff expense claims.
  • Month-End Support: Assist with month-end close procedures and support the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
  • Job Costing & Profitability: Help in accurately allocating costs to client projects and tracking project budgets.
  • Payroll Support: Prepare monthly payroll data for submission to the external payroll provider and respond to payroll queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar Finance , ideally within an SME, agency, or professional services environment.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take initiative.
  • Right to work in the UK.
