What the Senior Payroll job involves

This payroll job in Beverley will see you managing a busy and varied workload, handling all aspects of payroll from start to finish.

You’ll work closely with a small and friendly team and directly support a range of clients across sectors.

• Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for circa 300 clients
• Managing starters, leavers, and employee amendments accurately and on time
• Handling statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and deductions
• Completing RTI submissions and ensuring full HMRC compliance
• Overseeing Auto Enrolment and pension contributions
• Liaising with clients, resolving queries, and providing payroll advice
• Staying up to date with current payroll legislation and best practices
• Supporting the onboarding of new clients and payroll software transitions
• This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Payroller to join a growing firm where your experience and contribution will be recognised and valued.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven payroll experience, ideally within a practice or payroll bureau, but not essential
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory processes
• Proficiency with payroll software such as Sage Payroll, BrightPay, Xero or similar
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach
• A confident, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
• The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
• A team player who also thrives when working independently

• Full-time Monday to Friday, however part-time or flexible hours may be considered (4 days or 5 short days)
• Based in Beverley with on-site car parking
