About the role
We have a vacancy for a Cook/Canteen Assistant within our colleague canteen. In the role, you’re duties will include preparation, cooking and the serving of meals to colleagues.
You will report directly to the Senior Canteen Assistant. Other duties will include the handling of money, cleaning, stock rotation, vending machine fulfilment along with other reasonable tasks associated with a canteen.
Hours of work - 25 hours PM shift 16:00 – 21:00 Any 5 from 7 days to include weekend working.
There will also be a requirement to assist with holiday & absence cover, therefore, the ability to flex and work additional hours is essential.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent attitude towards customer service with a friendly outgoing personality and used to working within a team environment.
Cooking experience is essential with a positive attitude demonstrated by a willingness to assist in all areas of the kitchen and food service at the depot.
The candidate will ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety requirements and company best practices are adhered to at all times. The successful candidate should hold a Food Safety Certificate level 2.
