Part-time Payroll Officer
Wellington, Somerset
Up to £30,000 pro-rata DOE

We're recruiting on behalf of a West-Somerset based company seeking a part-time Payroll Officer for up to 25 hours to join their small, friendly team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage weekly and monthly payroll from start to finish
• Keep payroll information up to date, including any changes to employee details
• Handle pay calculations, deductions, pensions and required submissions to HMRC
• Answer payroll queries from employees and resolve any issues with timesheets or pay differences
• Prepare and maintain payroll reports and records, keeping all information secure and confidential
• Support the finance team with reconciliations and other related accounting tasks

Requirements:

• At least 3 years' recent experience preparing payroll
• Experience using Sage Payroll advantageous
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, auto-enrolment and HMRC processes
• A good communicator who can work independently and as part of a team
