Job Type: Part-Time (3 days per week)

Location: York, UK (Travel to other offices required)

We are seeking a passionate Legal Trainer to join our client who are a leading legal firm based in York. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to design and lead transformative legal training initiatives. Reporting to the Head of People, you will play a crucial role in empowering legal professionals through innovative and impactful training programs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and deliver cutting-edge training across core and emerging legal areas, as well as essential soft skills such as communication, negotiation, and emotional intelligence.
  • Utilise diverse training formats including workshops, e-learning, webinars, role plays, and reverse mentoring.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and HR to identify training needs and integrate future-proof skills like legal tech and AI literacy into the curriculum.
  • Design engaging induction programmes and ensure compliance with professional standards (SRA, CILEX).
  • Mentor legal professionals at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career growth.
  • Manage training administration, quality assurance, and evaluation to maintain the effectiveness and relevance of training programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in legal training with a strong understanding of legal disciplines and adult learning principles is preferred, although candidates with general training experience will also be considered.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs, championing innovative learning solutions.
  • Passion for continuous professional development and supporting a diverse range of legal talent.
  • Must be a car owner/driver as travel to other offices is required.
