Management Accountant (Part-Time)

A well-respected accountancy firm based in Ipswich, is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Management Accountant. With over 25 years of experience supporting small and medium-sized businesses across Suffolk and surrounding areas, the firm is known for its personalised, hands-on service and practical business advice.

Role Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Assistance with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
• Collaboration with internal teams including bookkeeping and payroll.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal control processes.
• Work from incomplete records, resolving discrepancies and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheets.
• Maintain ledgers and post journals as needed.

Personal Requirements

• AAT qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Previous experience within a small accountancy practice in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
