SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant and inclusive special school in Sheffield that supports pupils aged 11–19 with a wide range of complex needs.
This school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students with:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Sensory impairments (VI/HI)
About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to their individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning plans.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs, including Moving & Handling (training provided if needed).
- Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful learning environment.
What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants with:
- Experience working in SEN settings or with children/young people with additional needs.
- A calm, caring, and patient nature.
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with autism, communication difficulties, and sensory needs.
- Training in Team Teach or Moving & Handling is highly desirable but not essential.
